The Course:
This in-person class will cover the following:
- How to cast on and off
- How to do the knit and purl stitch
- How to increase and decrease stitches
- Sewing up/joining techniques
- How to start reading a pattern
- Common mistakes and how to avoid them
- Tips and hints on starting and finishing a project
- Tea and refreshments
This knitting class is for anyone who wants to learn to knit or has been away from knitting for a while and would like to refresh the basics.
Please bring one ball of chunky yarn and needles – preferably a brighter colour so you can see the stitches better. In our sample, we used Bellisima Chunky and 6mm needles. You can pick up a pack in our shop on the day of the class.
If you are left-handed, please leave a comment when checking out.
