Make An Easy Hair Clip/Brooch

How To's

You Will Need

Covered Button Blank
Hair Clip/ Brooch
Needle & Thread
Trim
Fabric Scraps
Glue

Step 1

Gather all your equipment together.

Step 2

Cut a round piece of fabric, adding 5 cm all round.

Step 3

Fasten the thread securely with a few stitches

Step 4

Sew a running stitch all the way around and back to the first stitch

Step 5

Gently pull on the thread to gather your fabric disc around the button blank

Step 6

Sew back and forward to gather and flatten the stitches

Step 7

Place the button back like above and press, it will click into place to fasten the fabric.

Step 8

Glue a trim onto the brooch/hairclip back around the edge

Step 9

Glue the button on top

Step 10

Add a ribbon or some more trim to finish
