The Course:
This is an advanced class for youths ages 9+ who already know how to crochet and have made simple toys already. Students must know how to chain, double crochet, treble crochet, change colour and crochet in the round. If your child needs to learn these techniques, check out our Crochet An Octopus class. If your child needs to learn the basics, see our learn to crochet class for teens/tweens
In this class you will be making your own horse/unicorn, in colours of your choice. This is a weekly 1 hr class for 4 weeks.
Skills to learn:
- How to work with chenille yarn
- Creating body parts and join
- How to stuff and shape
- How to add features
- How to read patterns
- Common mistakes and how to avoid them
- Tips and hints on starting and finishing a project

Please bring along a 6mm hook. You can buy this in The Craft Cabin if needed.
