Have you wanted to learn a new technique but are not sure where to start? Then this workshop is the thing for you! You’ll learn techniques of planning your project and cutting the necessary pieces using the tools of the trade. Then you’ll work on assembling and finishing your work at the machine, including the addition of wadding, backing and binding. .
- How to choose and coordinate fabrics
- How to cut fabric using a cutting board and cutter
- How to piece your table runner together
- How to back and finish the runner
- How to use bias binding
Students also need to bring along a cutting board, rotary cutter and their sewing box if possible. Students can use our machines but if you would like to use your own please bring it along.
Basic sewing skills and knowing how to use a machine are essential for the project.

This course is €70 and includes the following:

- 10% off stock in the store during the course
You will need to bring or buy your own fabric. You’ll need a selection of coordinating fabric for the front, plain cotton or calico for the backing, batting and bias binding. You can also buy these from us at the reduced price of €15. This will include all you need on the day. There will be a few varieties/colours to choose from.
