Our 2nd Yarn Shop Day celebration takes place on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th of May and we\’ve SOOOOO many exciting things planned! From promotions to world record attempts and competitions to a tea morning, we\’ve something for everyone!
50% & 70% OFF Yarns!
We\’re going to pile our sale yarn high on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th of May as we give you 50% and 70% OFF loads of lovely yarns! We\’ll also have big value packs, 2 for 1 offers and more! We\’re also open late on Friday too – until 7.30pm.
AND we have lots of FREE PATTERNS to give away on the days too! Check out the lovely patterns below:
Tea Cosy Competition!
Could your tea cosy win you a yarn hamper? Pop your best knitted or crocheted creation into us throughout May and we\’ll pop it up on our competition display for all to see!
We\’ll pick some lucky winners after the 26th May. There\’s no theme and other than fitting on a teapot there is no criteria to meet, so fancy or plain we welcome all entries!
All tea cosies will be returned to their talented owner!
We have been following the amazing story of Valery Larkin who is making a record-breaking attempt to create the largest knitted blanket in the world. Valery lives in Ennis,Co.Clare and needs 70,000, 6\” squares to make her blanket; that\’s larger than an Olympic sized swimming pool!
Once the record has been reached it will be then broken into smaller blankets and they will be donated to the Red Cross. A truly worthy cause and one we are excited to help out with.
You are invited to join us our Square Knitting Day on Yarn Shop Day – Saturday 12th May – from 10.30am to 12.30pm. We\’re getting together to knit some squares, eat cake, drink tea and have a chat! Bring your knitting needles and we\’ll donate some yarn on the day.
If you can\’t come along to the event, you can still get involved by knitting squares and popping them into us before 26th May. Here\’s the \’pattern\’: Squares 6\”: DK yarn 4.5 needles 30 sts. Aran weight/chunky yarn 5mm needles 25sts (approx) plain garter stitch. You can also knit in strips (like scarves) 6\” wide by up to 60\” long.
Yeah! Looking forward to a fab Yarn Shop Day so do join in the festivities 🙂
