We use a simplified patchwork technique to introduce students to the foundations of all patchwork. Blocks are the cornerstone of all patchwork as they are created using single shapes sewn together to form a recurring pattern. Students will learn two blocks in their course.
These block patterns can be replicated to make bigger projects.
What you will learn:
- How to coordinate fabric
- How to cut out and layout fabric
- How to assemble blocks
- How to use wadding
- How to edge with bias binding
In this class, students will complete at least one mug rug using a unique and simple block pattern. A second block will also be started in the class. Students need to be able to use a sewing machine for this class.
