Learn the basics of patchwork and quilting in this one day workshop and make your very own toiletry bag! Using a pre-cut jelly roll and some other complimentary fabric, you’ll pick up lots of tips and hints along the way too.
In this introductory course, we will be using jelly rolls which are pre-cut strips of coordinating fabric that will be used to create your simple block pattern. These will be paired with coordinating fabric of your choice.
This class will cover the following:
- How to coordinate fabric
- How to cut out and layout fabric
- How to assemble blocks
- How to use wadding
- How to work with backing fabric and assemble
- How to edge with bias binding
Students need to be proficient on a sewing machine.
COSTS & INCLUSIONS:
This is a full day course, running from 10.30am – 4.30 and costing €70

Students need to bring a jelly roll of their choice plus coordinating fabric as a border. Students can buy their materials in-store, availing of a 10% discount on the day. We have pre-packed kits in-store which you can buy for the special price of €10.
If possible, students should bring their own basic sewing kit (scissors, tape measure, pins etc).
